As most industry colleagues within the banking and financial institution industry are aware, CUSCAL made the decision to cease its CUSCAL App provision and have the product move to end of life by the 1st of July 2022.

Causing an operational impediment, and strategic impact on eight Ultradata clients, and as a result of Ultradata’s long-standing business relationships, this pronouncement lead to over 87% of those clients impacted, electing to migrate their App provision to the Ultracs App 2 digital banking platform.

Trusted and commissioned, and in collaboration with the various client project teams with Australian Mutual Bank being one of these clients, Ultradata has begun the process of migrating a total of twelve Apps onto release 3 (R3) of Ultracs App 2, with project teams projected to deliver on every migration ahead of the ‘end of life’ deadline.

In some instances, these migrations have evoked the decision to upgrade organisational core banking systems to the Ultracs 5.1 core banking platform with two driving factors at forefront;

  • To enable integration capacity to the Ultracs App 2
  • To utilise and leverage off all the benefits that the wider Ultracs 'ecosystem' has to offer

The decision to further upgrade has been a prudent one.

The Ultracs 5.1 core banking platform is agile and robust and is the cornerstone of the Ultracs ‘ecosystem’. It continues to provide access to a new level of innovation in mobile banking, and continues to offer many superior market leading functions that drive excellence in user experience and customer fulfillment.

“The Ultradata digital project team assisted Australian Mutual Bank to deliver a new website, Internet Banking and Mobile Banking app in 2021. These were required following the merger of our previous entities Sydney Mutual Bank and Endeavour Mutual Bank under our new brand. Apart from the inherent complexities of such a large-scale project, the seamless merger of the two systems raised a further difficulty. The key challenge for the project team was the migration of members to the new brand in a friction-free manner. The hard deadline pressure was exacerbated by the regulatory challenges of Open Banking. The Ultradata digital project team was responsive, flexible, and forward thinking throughout the project and worked very hard to meet the deadline. The result was the launch of the new Australian Mutual Bank app and other digital assets while meeting regulatory requirements for Open Banking on time.”
