Meet Meena. As a Senior Project Manager at Ultradata, she leads consulting services teams responsible for implementing compliance solutions for clients.
Since joining Ultradata, Meena has directed several major initiatives, including Card Scheme Updates, Open Banking, and the New Payments Platform (NPP). She takes pride in overseeing projects from inception to successful implementation and handover.
Originally from India, Meena has built a distinguished technology career spanning multiple continents. She began in Software Quality Assurance (QA) at AppLabs, a financial technology firm in India, where she developed the foundational skills essential for effective technology project management.
Her career took her to the United States when AppLabs partnered with the New York Stock Exchange. In New York, she played a key role in functional testing for the Exchange’s specialist trading application and primary order management systems.
After starting her family, Meena embarked on a new chapter in Australia, re-establishing herself as a QA tester at Pentana Solutions, a technology company specialising in automotive industry solutions. Her expertise in technology implementation paved the way for a transition into project management. After more than a decade in various technology sectors, her passion for financial technology led her to Ultradata.
"When I learned about Ultradata, I was impressed by its values and products. I felt that my background in financial technology and project management could contribute positively to the team," says Meena.
Meena’s role involves overseeing multiple projects, delegating tasks to specialists, and engaging with stakeholders to manage risks effectively.
Once a project team is formed—comprising a project manager and specialists from Ultradata’s consulting team—projects kick off with an initial meeting. Meena ensures smooth execution, guiding projects through key milestones, from development to User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Upon successful completion, the technology is deployed at the client site.
Throughout each project, she serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.

With over a decade in financial services and fintech, Meena has developed an in-depth understanding of the trends shaping the industry. She is optimistic about its future.
"The future of fintech will see continued growth in digital payments, regulatory compliance, and open banking. Cybersecurity will also play a critical role. What excites me most is how fintech makes financial services more accessible, efficient, and personalised. Ultradata is at the forefront of these developments, and I look forward to working on these projects."
